When it comes to traveling or long days without a power outlet nearby, I always have a power bank with me to help me out. It's an external battery with USB ports that can charge or power any USB-powered device. There are many models on the market, with varying degrees of power and autonomy. The model that's been with me everywhere for over six months is the UGREEN Nexode 145W, with its colossal capacity of 25,000mAh and an output power of, as its name suggests, up to 145W, which can even power a laptop! Let's take a closer look.
Unboxing the UGREEN Nexode 145W Battery
The packaging clearly presents the product, with its 25,000mAh battery life and its power output of up to 145W. A little note of interest for those who travel: it's approved for airplane use (in the cabin). I actually had the opportunity to use it during the 12-hour flight to Las Vegas recently for CES ;-)

After taking the UGREEN Nexode 145W battery out of its box, the first thing I noticed was its sleek design and matte gray and black color.
Despite its battery life, it remains relatively compact (approximately 16x8x2.5cm) and will fit in a pocket.

Be aware that it still weighs 505g, but this weight is justified by its large 25,000mAh capacity, enough to charge a smartphone or laptop multiple times when you're far from a power outlet.

The integrated LED display is handy for checking the battery level, a feature I particularly appreciate when traveling.

The UGREEN Nexode 145W battery has three output ports, allowing for simultaneous charging of multiple devices, which is ideal for family use or for a professional with multiple electronics. PD 3.1 and QC 3.0 technologies ensure fast and efficient charging. I tested it with a MacBook Pro, and the charging speed is impressive, nearly 56% in 30 minutes!

The charger isn't included, as is increasingly the case, but most fast chargers we use for our smartphones will do the trick. I randomly picked up a Ugreen model that would be perfectly suitable ;-)
Ugreen Nexode 145W: In Use
I've been carrying this power bank around since last summer, whether for leisure or work. On vacation road trips last summer, my coverage of IFA in Berlin, and more recently, my trip to Las Vegas for CES. It goes everywhere with me, and it's really practical. I have to say, its 25,000 mAh capacity is impressive. With that kind of power reserve, I was able to charge my Samsung S22 Ultra and my tablet for days without needing to plug them in. This is a considerable advantage for long trips or busy days away from an outlet.
Of course, with such battery life, the weight is a bit noticeable, at 505g. But in a sling bag or backpack, it goes unnoticed. For me, it's an acceptable compromise for the amount of power it offers.

Speaking of charging, the fast charging functionality is another strong argument. In use, it showed its effectiveness by quickly raising the battery level of my devices. Let's also not forget that it is capable of providing up to 145w of power! You can therefore of course recharge your smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, headphones, etc. But also recent laptops. And even older, since I can easily recharge my MacBook Pro which is around ten years old. I just had to buy one
Usb-C / Magsafe cable :
Its USB Type C interface, between its fast charging and its power, has always proven to be efficient and reliable, thus saving me from having to carry several chargers. This magnetic cable, a Usb-C cable, and the charger of my
Mobvoi connected watch , and I have everything I need.Even when fully charged, I observed that the power distribution was balanced, allowing efficient charging of my MacBook Pro as well as my Samsung Galaxy without suffering a noticeable drop in performance.

And the built-in protections against various electrical incidents give some peace of mind when charging my devices.
Finally, its LED screen allows us to always know where we are on the remaining autonomy.
Conclusion
After testing the Ugreen Nexode 145W for several months, I can confidently say it's a robust and reliable accessory for any portable electronics user. With a 25,000mAh capacity, it effortlessly charges my MacBook and my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra simultaneously thanks to its USB-C and fast USB ports. The charging speed is indeed impressive, and the product itself charges quite quickly with a suitable charger, especially when using a 65W charger (allow 2 hours for a full charge).
The only drawback for those looking for lightness above all else is its significant weight. But you can't have lightness and battery life; you have to make concessions. For my personal and professional use, it's definitely become a must-have, and it never leaves my bag. With it, I know I'm ready for anything when I'm on the go! Priced at around a hundred euros (there are often promotions on them), it's still an investment. But it's worth it if you need an easily portable power source for all your mobile devices.
