Landroid Vision: No more installation required, place and mow anywhere thanks to its artificial intelligence! #CES2023

While robotic lawnmowers are very practical, many people are put off by their installation, which requires a bit of preparation and work, particularly when it comes to routing the perimeter wire around the lawn and around various features (trees, flowerbeds, etc.). The good news is that the latest addition to Worx's Landroid smart lawnmower range eliminates all of this, thanks to Landroid Vision. Landroid Vision: Wireless Perimeter Mapping We've seen this before in robot lawnmower tests, such as the Husqvarna Automower 305: careful preparation is essential for proper installation of the robotic lawnmower, such as burying a guide wire around the mowing areas, then manually setting boundaries in the app, calibrating the mowing range, and more.

Landroid Vision, the latest addition to Worx's smart lawnmower range, eliminates all of this hassle. Instead of digging trenches and calibrating, you simply turn on the mower, place it in your garden, and the onboard cameras and sensors take care of the rest.

The LANDROID Vision is equipped with a high-level neural network, an artificial intelligence trained to distinguish between grass and non-grass. Thanks to its onboard HDR camera and VISION artificial intelligence, this new robotic mower “sees” gardens, eliminating the need for cumbersome boundary wires or antennas. Using the same AI technology used in modern self-driving cars, the new LANDROID Vision analyzes frame-by-frame images from its onboard cameras to recognize and distinguish grass from everything else: roads, sidewalks, flowerbeds, and even pets and humans! Not only does the new Vision avoid obstacles without mapping or wires, but it can traverse sidewalks, driveways, or other areas to access multiple lawn areas. LANDROID Vision also automatically adapts to changes in lawn features, such as grass density, while allowing cutting height adjustment from 1.5 to 3.5 inches. We call the LANDROID Vision the world's first “drop and mow” robotic lawnmower because that's all the homeowner has to do. Thanks to the power of sight and artificial intelligence, LANDROID Vision is truly changing the robotic lawn mower market, eliminating all the headaches of setup and operation. Homeowners will love the immediate—and lasting—gratification of this smart new technology. It's cost-effective, safe, and actually does a great job on the lawn all by itself!

It even has Active Smart Sensing, so if you forget to put away the garden hose or your kids leave a toy in the yard, it will automatically detect the obstacle and navigate around it, without worrying about shredded hoses or toys.

Speaking of smart detection, the Landroid Vision can also detect driveways, sidewalks, and paths, and you can program it to automatically mow additional areas on the other side of these “fences,” again without a wire guide required.

The Landroid Vision is available in three models: the 1/4, 1/2, and 1-acre models. The Landroid Vision is powered by the WORX 20v PowerShare lithium-ion battery platform. The Vision includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, so users have full remote monitoring of the unit. And the Vision's waterproof housing—with its built-in rain sensor—protects against all weather conditions, even knowing when to return the Vision to its base.

Worx announced this new Landroid line at CES 2023. Prices range from $2,400 to $3,000. The availability date hasn't yet been announced, but it's likely to be available next spring.
