Zendure was at IFA again this year. We discovered it last year at the same event, and we have to admit that we've come a long way! The manufacturer was clearly focusing this year on its Hyper 2000 and its ACE 1500. But in addition to its new “S” series batteries, another highly anticipated little accessory has appeared…
The Hyper 2000: an ultra-versatile hybrid inverter
Let's start with the Hyper 2000, a real little bomb in the field of domestic electrical installations. If you're the type to juggle solar panels and wonder how to maximize the efficiency of your system, this product is a game-changer. This hybrid inverter goes far beyond what is usually found on the market.
One of the most impressive aspects of the Hyper 2000 is its ability to intelligently manage the current recovered by your solar panels. Not only can it redistribute electricity on your home network, but it can also send it to storage batteries for future use. This means that you can, in real time, monitor your energy production and consumption. No need to rack your brains, everything is managed in a hyper-intuitive way.

And if you are a little obsessed with the idea of gaining energy independence (which is understandable, given the energy prices at the moment!), the Hyper 2000 is clearly a great ally. You can connect up to four solar panels, with a total MPPT of 1,800 W, to optimize your installation even more. Can you imagine the level of flexibility? It is simply unprecedented!
We had published a full test of the Zendure Hyper 2000 here, do not hesitate to consult it, you will know everything there is to know about it.
The Ace 1500: the portable mini-generator for energy always available
Let's now move on to the Ace 1500, another gem from Zendure that caused a sensation at IFA 2024. While the Hyper 2000 focuses on complete home management, the Ace 1500 is ideal for completing an existing installation or for nomadic use. Do you like going camping or do you need a backup energy source? This product is for you.
The principle is simple: the Ace 1500 connects to a battery and transforms it into a mini-generator. You can connect it to solar panels, or directly to an electrical network. Then, it offers you a series of sockets to plug in your devices. There are two “classic” sockets for your 220 V-240 V devices, and two USB ports, perfect for charging your smartphones and tablets on the go. It's a real gem for those who want to stay connected even in the wilderness.

But the Ace 1500 is not just a simple portable generator. It can also be used as a UPS for low-power devices. In the event of a power outage, it ensures that your devices remain powered without interruption. I can see you coming: “How long does the transition take?” Less than 20 ms! Suffice to say that your devices won't even notice. Now that's responsiveness!
Zendure has once again focused on ease of use with this product. Installation is child's play, and as always, the dedicated application allows you to monitor your device in real time. For those who like to be in control (and who doesn't?), this is a real plus.
The Ace 1500 is available at 499 euros without a battery on the Zendure website. And honestly, given everything it offers, it's excellent value for money. Not to mention that it comes with a 5-year warranty, which is far from negligible. It is currently being tested by us, so we will come back to it in more detail very soon.
A new series of more “S”ecured batteries
The Zendure Solarflow system is based on the AB1000 and AB2000 batteries, which offer almost 1 and 2 kWh respectively. They can be stacked up to 4, a complete system can therefore go up to almost 8kWh!
The AB2000 had brought an interesting innovation compared to the AB1000: in addition to an increased capacity, they also integrate a heating system to allow the battery to operate even in very low temperatures (down to -20°C).

But a new series of batteries has just been unveiled: AB1000s and AB2000s. This little “s” at the end changes a lot of things. Of course, we find the heating system that appeared with the AB2000. But much more:
- A smart aerosol fire extinguishing system: this innovative technology ensures your safety by preventing open flames from appearing in the battery, all without emitting toxic gases!
- Exclusive smart thermal runaway technology: this cutting-edge system ensures that the product maintains optimal temperatures during operation, effectively preventing overheating. By implementing this advanced protection, the safety and performance of the energy storage system is significantly improved
- Extended battery life: these batteries are equipped with advanced smart protection against AC over-discharge. During long periods of low sunlight when solar charging is insufficient, this smart system automatically switches to grid electricity. This seamless transition prevents over-discharge, and significantly improves battery life.
- Battery balancing technology: Zendure products contain an advanced balancing algorithm at the PACK level that prioritizes charging for low-capacity battery cells. This system prevents over-discharge by ensuring balanced charge/discharge cycles across all cells and significantly extending battery life.

An accessory for the Hyper 2000 in the event of a power outage
While the ACE1500 has two 230V outputs to power devices, even in the event of a power outage in the home, the same is not true for the Hyper 2000. In fact, the latter uses what is called a micro inverter, which can only inject electricity into the home circuit if it is synchronized with a power line. Therefore, in the event of a power outage, the Hyper 2000 no longer injects anything into the home's electrical network. This is a safety feature. The downside is that in the event of a power outage, even if all the batteries are 100% charged, it is not possible to use this stored energy.
This is where this small Off-Grid power strip comes into play:

This small cube has 3 230V sockets to power common devices, as well as USB-A and USB-C sockets:

You just have to unplug the power cable from the Hyper 2000, to connect this small box instead.

From there, it will be possible to power different devices, up to a power of 4000w* (3750w if devices are connected via USB). If you have a source inverter like me, you can even power the whole house during a power outage!
We agree, this is a feature that we would have liked to see natively on the Hyper 2000. In fact, the “perfect” product would have been a mix between the Hyper and the ACE. But we can only congratulate Zendure for listening to its users and developing a quick response to this demand, through this small box that everyone can add, rather than releasing a new Hyper (which would have left the first buyers hungry).
No price or availability date for the moment, but we should know more by October.
*4000w according to the technical sheet received, but the Hyper normally releases 1200w. To be confirmed when the product is actually released.
