IFA is the perfect opportunity to discover all the latest robot vacuums. And of course, Dreame, one of the leading players in the field, was there with many new products: a new high-end robot vacuum, but also a robot lawnmower, a pool robot, and various other home appliances…
DreameBot L20 Ultra: for deep floor cleaning
Dreame took advantage of IFA 2023 to unveil its new DreameBot L20 Ultra, equipped with cutting-edge technology, including the new AI-guided MopExtend technology that allows for deep cleaning of corners.

While robot vacuums/mop cleaners have achieved very high cleaning performance, there is still one criticism: they tend to go too far away from walls and obstacles, generally leaving a good two centimeters uncleaned. MopExtend technology is the first in the industry to improve cleaning of baseboard edges, chair legs, and other hard-to-clean corners. Multiple positioning sensors are able to automatically and accurately identify hard-to-reach areas. When identified, MopExtend technology is activated and automatically extends the mop to the edges of the wall for a wider cleaning area. This advanced technology allows for a deeper and closer experience from one corner to the next.
The mop automatically moves sideways for cleaning closer to walls.

The DreameBot L20 Ultra is designed to deliver unparalleled performance thanks to its advanced suction system and various features that adapt to any environment.
Thanks to Dreame Technology's Vormax system, the DreameBot L20 Ultra optimizes its 7,000Pa suction efficiency to remove dirt from rugs, carpets, and hard floors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-qlCXhUjng
The combination of ultrasonic carpet detection and mop removal technology improves carpet and rug cleaning. When the robot encounters a carpet, users can choose between three cleaning options: remove the mops, raise the mops (up to 1 cm high for carpets and low-pile rugs), or avoid the carpets, to avoid wetting the carpets and thus provide optimal cleaning by increasing suction for the most ingrained dirt. The robot is even able to place its mops in its cleaning station itself so it can move around without them!
Thanks to its new automatic dock, the DreameBot L20 Ultra offers users an even more automated cleaning experience than previous models. Equipped with DualBoost 2.0 technology and a large 3.2-liter dust bag, its dock can store dust for up to 75 days without users having to empty it manually.
Once cleaning is complete, the mops are systematically washed and then dried with hot air on the dock to prevent the formation of mold and unpleasant odors. The DreameBot L20 Ultra automatically refills with clean water from a 4.5L tank to ensure the mop is always available. Cleaning solutions are also precisely dosed to save users the hassle.

A special version for certain countries can be connected directly to the water inlet and outlet (but not for France).
The DreameBot L20 Ultra is already available on Dreame, Amazon, Boulanger, and Fnac Darty at a suggested retail price of €1,199.

Robots for pools and gardens too… The manufacturer also presented its new Roboticmower A1 robotic lawnmower. As is becoming increasingly popular today, this robotic lawnmower doesn't require a perimeter wire, which greatly simplifies installation! Instead, it features a 360° perception system to detect the slightest obstacle and map the lawn down to the last centimeter.
Its technology automatically determines the best path to take to methodically mow the lawn. It can thus easily cover a 1000m² area in a day. Little information is yet available on the model, but it should be available in France next spring. Dreame also presented two pool robots, the Wybot SW1200 and SW800 models:
These robots are also completely wireless, much easier to use than traditional robots with a power cable. Cleaning the pool floor, as well as the walls, is of course included. And the robots are integrated into the manufacturer's app, allowing for seven different cleaning modes. There's also little additional information, but we already know that these models won't be available in France. These models are currently reserved for the US to “test” the market; France will directly benefit from a V2. But it's interesting to see how Dreame is investing in different areas.
Handheld vacuums haven't been forgotten…
Dreame also offers several models of handheld stick vacuums, some of which are also capable of washing floors. We've already had the opportunity to test several models, such as the Dreame H12 and the H12 Pro.

At IFA, we were able to see the H12 Dual: it broadly shares the same functions as the H12 Pro, namely vacuuming and mopping at the same time. But the H12 Dual also has several accessories that transform it into a more “classic” stick vacuum, for vacuuming only, whether it's the floor, mattresses, the car, etc. This means that with a single device, it's possible to vacuum and mop everything.

This is a trend that will certainly grow, since we had already seen it from Roborock at the same event.

Another trend we noticed at IFA: the addition of the stick vacuum's automatic emptying function:
Once the job is done, simply place the device on its dock, and it will empty it. This is a principle we've seen from several manufacturers. It remains to be seen whether this is really practical, since this type of device is inherently manual. Since you're going to have the device in your hands, you might as well walk a few extra meters to empty your bin into the trash, right? Some reasons may escape us :)
