Voltme Revo 140W: THE universal charger capable of also charging laptops!

The smartphone and tablet accessories market is huge today, and it's sometimes difficult to choose between an A charger and a B charger, as they all look so similar. Fortunately, some manufacturers manage to stand out from the crowd, like this one with this Voltme Revo 140W charger. Its unique feature? An impressive 140W of power, which even allows it to charge two laptops simultaneously! Smartphones, tablets, computers… nothing can resist it. You'll only need this one charger wherever you go!

Unboxing the Voltme Revo 140W Charger

VOLTME is a brand of Voltnex Innovations, a market leader in accessories, offering mobile power, connectivity, and external power solutions for a wide range of consumer and professional electronic devices.

The manufacturer offers a Revo range, including various fast chargers, such as the Voltme Revo 140W, which I'm presenting to you today. This one is so impressive that it received an award at the last CES in Las Vegas.

The Voltme Revo 140W is all black, with a slightly punched texture that makes it easy to hold:

Despite its 140W power, it offers very compact dimensions, measuring only 11.5 x 7 cm (including the plug) and 3 cm thick. On the scale, it weighs a nice 250g.

This compact size is made possible thanks to the use of the 3rd generation GaN Power IC, which allows for high power in a small footprint and minimal heat generation. Overall, it is 20% smaller than other competing 140W chargers. This technology also supports the latest PD 3.1 & QC 5.0 & PPS fast charging protocols.

On its side are two USB C ports and a standard USB A port, as well as a three-petal LED that lights up when the charger is in use.

The USB ports will charge most USB-powered devices, from smartphones to cameras to smartwatches. But this charger is also capable of simultaneously charging two 65W laptops, or a 140W computer. Impressive for such a compact size! Using the VoltMe Revo 140W Charger

This review of the VoltMe Revo 140W came at just the right time, as I was looking for a new charger for my 13″ MacBook. It's a bit dated, being almost 10 years old. But it runs like clockwork and is very useful for my travels. Unfortunately, the charger is showing signs of wear, and the cord has started to seriously break, making it a bit dangerous to use.

I could, of course, have replaced it with an official Apple charger. But I wanted something more practical and versatile. And this VoltMe Revo 140W charger gave me the idea to look for a MagSafe 2 adapter, the connector format used by my MacBook. It took me 2 minutes to find a USB-C / MagSafe 2 cable:

The MagSafe 2 connector is identical to the official one, with a good magnetic hold, and the indicator light lets you see the charging status: Since it's USB-C, It connects seamlessly to the Voltme Revo 140W.My MacBook's original power supply was 60W. So this Voltme Revo 140W charger provides more than enough power. To test it, I completely drained my MacBook's battery: it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to go from 0 to 100% charge, which is very reasonable! The manufacturer specifies a 56% charge in 30 minutes for a 16″ MacBook Pro, or 30 minutes for an iPhone 13 at 50%, just to compare with more recent hardware.

Of course it goes without saying that this charger powers my Samsung S22 Ultra, or any other USB device that I own, without any problem, offering them the fastest and most suitable charging speed for everyone. Its PPS standard ensures that the power supply can dynamically adjust the output voltage and current depending on the state of the smartphone. Regularly, every 10 minutes, all of these parameters will change to adapt to the needs of the battery with the aim of optimizing its charge. So here we have a smart charger!

So, no need to carry around with 3 or 4 different chargers: this Voltme Revo 140W meets all needs! You just need to have the right cables if certain devices require a special connector, like this MacBook here. Also pay attention to the power supported: not all Usb C cables support 100 or 140w of power, and will therefore limit the charging speed. You will therefore have to be careful to choose a suitable cable. It's a bit of a shame that VoltMe doesn't provide one with its charger.

Of course, this little box has all the necessary protections to protect devices against overpower, overvoltage and short circuits.

I've been using this charger for a few weeks now, and it has already followed me on several trips. No more searching for the right charger for my different devices, as long as I have this one in my bag, I'm ready for anything! A single charger, in a relatively compact format, and not very heavy, it's perfect, and we gain a lot in ease of use! So all my other chargers are in the closet.

The only downside is the price, as this charger is still available at €149, which is much more expensive than a standard 100W charger. However, you can currently take advantage of a nice 25% discount on Amazon, bringing its price down to €112. It's a definite investment, but once you have this one, you won't need anything else!
