Home backup power for lasting peace of mind
Most of us rely on the power grid for our electricity, and when the grid fails, the consequences can range from frustration to death (especially for people dependent on medical devices, such as ventilators). Traditionally, people have turned to generators as an emergency power solution during power outages. While fuel-powered generators are noisy, produce smoke, and produce dangerously high levels of carbon monoxide, EcoFlow's home backup power solution provides backup power that is clean, quiet, and safe.
The new whole-home backup power solution centers around the DELTA Pro, a powerful portable power station that can be fully recharged from a wall outlet in less than three hours. The advanced kit connects two DELTA Pro units via the dual-voltage hub, providing a massive 7200W of power and a 240V output. This is enough to power virtually any household appliance and provide enough energy to keep critical circuits running for a week. The Whole-home Backup Solution can be used with the EcoFlow solar generator line to provide free renewable energy and help users reduce their reliance on the grid. While this doesn't apply to us, it's worth noting that as part of the U.S. government's 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, users can claim a 30% tax credit when they install the DELTA Pro as a home power solution. When will this be available in France? With just a few modules, this whole-home backup power solution is easy to install in homes and recreational vehicles (vans, campers, etc.) without the need for professional installers, as is the case with other backup power products.The Whole-home Backup Power Solution is available in the United States on the EcoFlow website. Another backup power solution for European users, including power kits and the EcoFlow Smart Home Panel, will be available soon. With this solution, users will be able to select and connect up to six LFP batteries, which offer a base capacity of 2 kWh and can be expanded to 30 kWh with the use of the Smart Home panel. This solution supports a maximum of 9600W of solar power, allowing the batteries to be recharged from multiple types and quantities of solar panels, which users can also choose from the EcoFlow solar panel collection to adopt a sustainable lifestyle. And in case of emergency, users can easily use their own backup generators to charge the power kits. Three New Ecoflow Smart DevicesEcoflow also unveiled three other new products, some of which were quite surprising.
EcoFlow Glacier: This is the first portable refrigerator in the industry to feature a built-in ice maker, keeping food fresh and drinks filled with ice for maximum enjoyment. This machine is capable of producing 18 small ice cubes in just 12 minutes and has a battery life of approximately 24 hours to keep food fresh. This piece of equipment will undoubtedly be a hit with American nomads, who are very fond of ice makers. It has small wheels for easy transport and is, of course, connected to the manufacturer's mobile app.
Finally, the EcoFlow Blade: the manufacturer bills it as the “world's first lawn sweeping kit.” This is undoubtedly the big surprise of these announcements, because while previous products focused on energy and battery life, one might wonder what a robot lawnmower has to do with it. Unfortunately, we still know little about it, except that it's 4G compatible via eSIM, so it can be controlled even when far from Wi-Fi.
The look is very futuristic, worthy of explorer robots sent to other planets :p No need for a perimeter wire either, navigation is done using its GPS and demarcated areas via the application, as is already done for robot vacuum cleaners for example. Of course the application will allow you to program its operation on the days and times you want. Its particularity compared to other robot mowers comes from a basket attached to the rear to collect leaves and cut grass. This is in fact completely new on this type of device. On the other hand, use may be more restrictive, since there is no provision for automatic emptying of this basket. We would therefore return to the same obligation as with robot vacuum cleaners, which require emptying their dust bin after each use. Among these three new products, the EcoFlow Blade and EcoFlow Glacier were selected as CES 2023 winners, due to their exceptional innovative design and ability to improve users' quality of life.
No price has yet filtered, but the manufacturer is aiming for availability in the spring for its robot lawn mower and the refrigerator, and this summer for the air conditioner.
